I've been recently studying the impacts of technology on the workforce of the future.
Already it's acknowledged that Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Big Data will bring mass redundancy for roles in almost every profession and job. Not even lawyers or accountants are safe.
Millions and millions are likely to be affected.
My study has included how all of this affects how the children of today are schooled, and frankly it's worrying.
Today's education system requires kids to remember facts and recite them in exams.
But no kid, no adult, no human could match Google or Wikipedia in this ability.
It's my view that success in the future will be driven by creativity and imagination.
Success will be determined by our ability to create rather than recite.
But we as parents and most schools are more interested in whether a mathematical equation can be solved than our children's ability to be creative in art, drama or music.
I believe we're heading for a right brain future, but our kids are mostly being taught for a left brain world.
