Just because you're a stay at home dad it doesn't mean you can't be economically productive. Once the Kids are school age you have plenty of time to fill during the day. Of course you could play some golf, potter, do some chores. Or you could do some work. Plenty of dads I know combine their parental life with a working life. Some play the markets, others run design agencies from home. One runs a niche estate agents, specialising in high value homes. Thanks to technology the opportunities are endless. I run a management consulting business and have worked with clients in Europe and other continents, using video conferencing, email and hangouts to connect. And when I attend meetings in person, I do so during school hours, because being at the gates is always my priority. Today I was in meetings in London. And it was fabulous to stroll across the bridge in the morning sunshine.
